Thione NIANG

UNITED STATES of AMERICA . Thione NIANG Recognized as one of Ten of AMERICA’S Most Daring Young Black Activist in February 2011, is a mentor, political activist, community leader, international motivational speaker and consultant who was born and raised in a humble family of 28 in SENEGAL, West Africa. With $20 in his pocket, no family and very limited English Thione arrived in New York in July 2000 where he took a job as a busboy.

After campaigning for various local and state political candidates, he campaigned for President Barack OBAMA during the 2008 presidential election. He also served as the Chair of the Cuyahoga County Young Democrats, National Chair of the Young Democrats of America College Caucus, Chair of the International Affairs Committee for the Young Democrats of AMERICA. He is now National Co-Chair of Gen44, the DNC and OBAMA for AMERICA newest program to cultivate and empower a rising generation of leaders of the Democratic Party. It is the fundraising power of OBAMA for America Campaign under forty.

Currently, Thione travels the world speaking to youth about the importance of leadership, service and civic participation. Thione is also the CEO/Founder of TN CONSULTING GROUP, which aims to improve communications and relations among domestic and international governments and leading world organizations, and the GIVE1PROJECT, a global non-profit organization dedicated to engaging and empowering young men and women to strive for greater social, economic and political participation in their communities. His organization operates in FRANCE, USA, SENEGAL, BENIN, CANADA, TOGO, IVORY COAST, GHANA, GABON. NIANG also is the creator and host of the Thione NIANG Show, an online social forum dedicated to engaging in socially conscious dialogue about the arts, society, business and politics.

Thione has also been recognized for his activism and leadership. In 2009, he was awarded the Call and Post 2009 Most Influential Person of Northeast OHIO and in February 2011 was recognized as one of Ten of AMERICA’S Most Daring Young Black Activist.
